We built the Pinyon Sling around one question — what do you actually reach for when you stop walking? A crossbody sling for the market, the museum and the trailhead.
It is made from recycled nylon with a fleece-lined phone pocket, selected after abrasion tests against granite, bark and the rough concrete of a train platform. The base panel is doubled so the bottom never becomes the first thing to wear out.
Shoulder straps are contoured and padded with closed-cell foam that will not pack flat over the years. A removable sternum strap slides on a rail, so it sits right whether you are five foot two or six foot four.
Inside, a sleeve holds a laptop or hydration bladder, and two mesh pockets keep small things from sinking to the bottom. An external daisy chain takes a wet jacket, a sleeping pad or a bunch of wildflowers.
Every buckle is a standard size, so if one breaks on a trip you can swap it from any outdoor shop, and we will mail you a replacement for free.

Spot clean with a soft brush and cool water. Do not machine wash. Re-wax canvas once a year using our bar wax and a hair dryer on low. Store empty and unbuckled in a dry place.

Send us anything we made, at any age. We patch, re-stitch, re-wax and replace hardware at cost, and many small repairs are free. Turnaround is usually two to three weeks.
We can edit or cancel an order within two hours of purchase. After that it may already be packed; write to us and we will do our best.
